Belfast Airport The George Best Belfast City Airport was formerly known as the Belfast City Airport and is located approximately two miles from the center of Belfast. It has one runway and can be easily found following the signs that are all posted on major roads in and around Belfast. Though it is small in size, George Best City Airport flies to a large number of domestic with connecting flights to most international destinations.
PARKING
Parking at Belfast Airport the airport has two car parking lots and a drop off and pick up zone. Use the short stay parking lot for trips under 24 hours and the long term car park for those longer journeys. Disabled parking is located in the short term car park.
Public Transport to and from Belfast Airport
The airport has no train station, but there is a shuttle service that runs from the nearest train station located at Sydenham and it runs twice every hour and goes to Victoria Street and Central stations. The buses operate from the city to the airport and vice versa. There are also two services which can connect you to the rest of Northern Ireland via buses or trains. Taxis are available at the airport itself with fairs to the city center usually in the £6 range (But ask before booking to confirm price!!).
SHOPS, BARS AND RESTAURANTS
There are shops where you can buy water, books, magazines, souvenirs and other small comfort items. The George Best City Airport has bars and restaurants in it. There are food outlets before and after security. These outlets serve hot and cold meals along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
