Bristol Airport, Bristol Airport is located approximately eight miles south from the centre of Bristol and can be easily found from all all the major roads by following the airport signs. The airport opened in 1957 and is presently undergoing renovations. Due to the success of Thompson and Flybe, Bristol Airport has becoming a very busy and popular airports in the South West of England. PARKING
The airport has plenty of parking places and options. There are short stay and extended stay lots for you to choose from. The short stay lot is perfect if your travels are going to be less than 24 hours. There are a large number of disabled car parks and Bristol Airport also offers a VIP meet and greet service. There are also several offsite options for you to choose from which are usually less expensive than the onsite options.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT BRISTOL AIRPORT
There is no train station at the airport with the nearest station being seven miles away. There is a shuttle service that runs every 15 minutes during peak times from the station. There are many different bus companies that run from the city center to the airport . Checker Cabs is the official cab of the airport and will be able to take you wherever you need in the Bristol area. At the arrivals terminal Checker Cabs ranks are outside the terminal as are bus stops. SHOPS, BARS AND RESTAURANTS
There are shops where you can buy water, books, magazines, souvenirs and other small comfort items. Bristol Airport also has duty free shops for international travelers. There are ten food outlets at the airport and they serve hot and cold meals with one that serves alcohol. The large number of food outlets at the airport are located both before and after security.
