Doncaster Airport, Doncaster Airport, also known as Robin Hood Airport is located approximately five miles south of the city’s center and 25 miles from Sheffield and can be easily found from all of the major roads around Doncaster. The airport is built of the site of the former RAF Finningley airbase and has one of the United Kingdom’s longest runways. Robin Hood Airport is one of the newest airports in the UK and it caters to all types of flight traffic from commercial to general business flights. Flights from the airport fly to over 40 worldwide destinations and the traffic through the airport is over one million passengers per year.

The airport has no train station, but there are about 5 bus services every hour that run from the airport to the nearest train station and Doncaster city center, + an airport shuttle service every 30 minutes that go between the train staion and the airport, there are usually great number of taxis for the airport and are located outside the terminal. There are a three car hire companies inside the airport for you to choose from should you wish to have a vehicle at your disposal during your time in and around Doncaster and they are located at the arrivals terminal.
