Long stay car parks for those who may have flights that may take a few days or if you flight is for a holiday from heathrow you are advised to book your long stay parking in advance you may save up to 60% over turn up and park prices. These car parks have regular shuttle services to all terminals. There are also several different off site long term car parks that provide shuttle services to and from the airport.
Public Transport Heathrow Airport
Heathrow airport is well serviced by all forms of Public transport. Heathrow,s train station offer you a very fast journey into London Paddington taking about 15 minutes it called Heathrow express and runs every 15 minutes. Heathrow connect takes around 30 minutes to get to Paddington as it stops at all the other rail stations on the way to and from the airport, its service run every 30 minutes. You can catch the Piccadilly line underground trains, it takes about one hour but is more cost effective way. National Express coaches have services from Heathrow airport to most cities throughout the UK as do other bus operators. Licensed taxis are to be found outside each of the 5 terminals if you are traveling outside London or further afield try and agree the fare with the driver before boarding the taxi if you are traveling within a 20 mile radius of the airport or central London the taxis will use their taxi meter the fare will cost around £65 and take about 45 minutes. Should you prefer to hire a car for onward travel to your destinations a selection of airport car hire companies and Heathrow car hire firms are located in the arrival terminals.
Shops, Bars and Restaurants
Departing on a flight from Heathrow, why not take a little time to look at the wide variety of shops where you can buy anything from a newspaper to elegant jewellery, your head will turn when you see the vast number of shops, London Heathrow airport has at all five terminals, there is everything from duty free shops, full range of designer brand shops to the very familiar high street stores. You have a large choice of bars that serve a wide variety of food and drink at all five terminals.
