Leeds Airport, Leeds Airport, also known as Leeds Bradford Airport, although only a regional airport, is within the top 100 busiest airports in Europe, with approximately 3 million passengers a year on flights to and from around 70 destinations in the UK, Europe and other International destinations. It has only one passenger terminal and has the highest elevation of any airport in the UK. Leeds and Bradford Airport is located about 9 miles from both Bradford and Leeds on the A658 near Yeadon. In the 1930 Yeadon was the name of this airport.
PARKING
You have 10 free minutes in the short stay car park for dropping off or picking up passengers. This car park is directly in front of the only terminal at the airport. You should note that if you lose your parking ticket you may be charged about 100 pound for parking. Blue badge holders should display there badge when parking here, or the long stay car park, allow about 20 minutes for the free shuttle service from the long stay to the terminal it operates 24 hours a day.
Public Transport Leeds Airport
Leeds and Bradford airport has no train station, the nearest stations to the airport are Leeds City Rail Station and Bradford Interchange from where you can catch the airport bus service. There are bus services from Leeds, bradford and Harrogate each of these services go via the local countryside collecting and droping off passengers. Taxis are available from outside the arrivals side of the terminal, and airport car hire can be found inside the arrivals terminal. Should you require to a hire car for traveling to your destinations a selection of airport car hire companies and Leeds car hire firms are in the arrival terminals.
Shops, Bars and Restaurants
There are shops where you can buy water, books, magazines, souvenirs and other small comfort holiday and travel essential items. Leeds Airport also has duty free shops for their international travelers where you can pick up that last minute tax free gift. If you have the time why not treat yourself to a drink from any of the very good bars at the airport or go for a meal where you have a wide choice of hot and cold food, everything from burgers to a gourmet meal. There is also childrens menu with prices from about 2 pound. You will find Vending machines placed throughout Leeds airport for comfort and convenience.
