London City Airport,
London City Airport can be found from most major roadways from most parts of the greater London
area. The Airport is located in Newham, East London and has only one runway. There are plans to
expand the airport, with the upcoming Olympics to help with passenger congestion in the other
larger airports in the sourounding area. London City also allows passengers to arrive as little as
15 minutes early for their flights, as it is a fast paced airport turning flights around as soon as they
possibly can.
PARKING
The airport has all of the parking options you will require with quick drop-off or pick-up, short
stay, and long stay parking lots. There are also handicapped spaces available for blue badge holders.
Valet parking can be arranged and there are also many off-site lots for you to choose from should
you wish to go with that option.
Public Transport London City Airport
If you are looking for buses or trains there are no shortages of either for you to choose from.
There are two bus lines to choose from to get to and from the airport. They operate from all over the
London area. There is a light rail system that connects to the London train services and this allows
you to connect to the airport from all over the greater London area. Taxis are also available for your
convenience.
You have a choice of airport car hire in the arrivals hall.
Should you prefer to hire a car for
traveling to your destinations a selection of car hire companies
and London City car hire firms are located in the arrival terminals.
Shops, Bars and Restaurants
While there are not a large number of shops, bars, or restaurants in London City Airport, there
are enough places for you to fill up on food and drink as well as purchase all of the necessities
you will require for your trip. The quality and number of shops is surprising for such a small
airport as there is some quality shopping to be done while waiting for your flight. The airport
also offers duty free shopping for those passengers who are travelling on international flights.
